SaddleSore route 2008
Cross Road chapter will only travel 1079 miles unless they decide to do more. I plan on meeting Brian in Pleasanton. this will be our first stop and second longest run of 120 miles. there are plenty of places to put gas but no extra time will be spent until we get to Pleasanton. The reason for the hard ride on the first half is because we will be well rested and I want to get to Kent during day light hours. Gas is scarce up there and places tend to close early. I also want to go thru the mountains during day light hours so we can enjoy them. once night falls it will get cold and we can make more frequent stops due to the hard riding during the day. This will be a nice controlled pace only as fast as our slowest rider and as far as our smallest gas tank. So I need to know how far our bikes can travel and how far you can sit in the saddle. we have 24 hr to complete this so there is not allot of pressure. Talked to some guys that did this in August. They did the same route got caught in the rain, had a Scooter with them ,left about 8:30 in the morning and got home about 2 am. If Brian leaves at 0600 that puts us leaving Victoria about 0715 -0730 to meet in Pleasanton.
This information will be updated as more information come along.
